02.01.17 Man on PCP Transported to Hospital

Official Baytown Police Press Release:
On January 28th at 1:37 a.m., officers responded to 925 Northwood
in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival officers observed blood outside the apartment,
prompting them to knock on the door to check the welfare of the occupants.
Upon knocking on the door, officers were met by a black male who was void of any clothing.
The male was bleeding and not compliant with officers and officers also noticed there was blood on the walls and floor
inside the apartment. The male became combative with officers as they were attempting to get him help
with his injuries as well as checking the apartment for any other injured people, which none were found.
Officers escorted the male outside while they waited on EMS to arrive, during which time the male
again became uncooperative and combative. This ultimately resulted in the officers being forced to
deploy their department issued Taser to gain control and compliance out of the black male.
Once EMS arrived it was learned that the male had been smoking PCP earlier in the evening,
which would explain his unusual behavior. The male was transported to a local hospital to be treated
for his injuries. No charges filed as a result of the incident.
