08.15.16 Two Stories: Disturbance at Apartments and House Fire

In a press release from Lt. Steve Dorris with the Baytown Police Department, on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at approximately 3:11 pm, officers responded to a person with a weapon call at the Creekside Apartment in the 3100 block of Decker Drive. Upon arrival officers made contact with the complainant, a 48 year old Baytown man, who advised he had been in a verbal altercation with several juveniles. During the argument the juveniles returned to their apartment and one of them reportedly exited the apartment with a handgun and discharged the handgun in an unknown direction. The complainant did not wish to pursue any charges and no witnesses came forward. The apartment from which the juveniles had emerged was searched with no weapons being found. No arrests and no charges filed.

On Friday, August 12, 2016, Baytown Fire and Rescue responded to the scene of a residential fire in the 900 Block of Dale Street,  Heavy smoke was visible and coming from a bedroom in the home.  The investigation is ongoingshady hilla
