06.28.16 Female Murdered/Her Body Transported to Wallisville

June 28, 2016 Sheriff Brian C. Hawthorne reports that on June 27, an as of now unidentified white female was found deceased at a residence off Pine Hollow in Wallisville, Texas.

Daniel Jeremy Heredia, a 25 year old white male of Wallisville was arrested and charged with murder, a first degree felony and is being held without bond.

William Joseph Griffin, a 22 year old white male of Anahuac was arrested and charged with tampering/fabricating physical evidence, a second degree felony and is being held on $35,000.00 bond.

The suspects were arraigned by Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Randy VanDeventer and are being held in the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office Jail.

Preliminary investigation reveals the unidentified white female died from an apparent gunshot wound.

It appears the deadly assault occurred in a recreational vehicle trailer in Comal County, Texas at a camp ground on the Guadalupe River and the deceased was transported to Wallisville on June 25.

The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, with assistance from the Comal County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers.
