2016-29067 On May 27th at 11:21 pm, Baytown Police were called to investigate a shooting in the 6200 block of Bayway in the Baytown Nature Center. Police discovered Mario Rangel, 59 of Houston, Texas deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
2016-29226 – On May 28th at 10:00 am, Baytown Police were called to the 1000 block of South Airhart Drive in reference to a child that had been found. Baytown officers discovered that a 3 year old male child was found wandering in the area. It was later discovered that the child had left the residence after the babysitter had left the home to go into town and returned to find that the child had awaken and walked out of the house. The child’s mother was asleep in her room as she works nights and two other adults were also in the home asleep. Child Protective Services were called about this case and are investigating further.
